🥙 Ignite Tuna Power Wrap – Pan-Seared Edition

A colorful creation from Abby’s Fit Kitchen – blending energy, gratitude, and flavor.

🌿 Inspiration

This wrap was born from the spirit of the dojo – a place of discipline, respect, and balance. Just as you bow before entering the mat, preparing food with intention honors the Earth’s provision. Each ingredient was chosen to nourish both body and spirit.

🧾 Ingredients (Makes 2 Wraps)

  • 1 can Skipjack tuna (wild-caught, drained)

  • 1/2 avocado, mashed

  • serrano peppers + 1 jalapeño, finely chopped

  • 1/3 cup cucumber, diced

  • 2 tbsp red onion, chopped

  • 2 chopped dried figs

  • 1 large handful organic arugula

  • 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1–2 tsp Burman’s Stone Ground Mustard

  • 1 tbsp raw honey 🍯

  • Himalayan pink salt + peppercorn medley to taste

  • Ezekiel (or sprouted grain) wraps

  • 2 tbsp shredded cheese (mozzarella, pepper jack, or similar)

(Optional: squeeze of lemon juice for brightness)

👨‍🍳 Directions

  1. Mix Base: Combine tuna, avocado, mustard, olive oil, and honey until creamy.

  2. Add Texture: Fold in cucumber, onion, figs, peppers, and arugula. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Assemble: Spread half the mixture onto each wrap. Sprinkle with cheese.

  4. Pan-Sear: Warm a skillet over medium heat with a light drizzle of olive oil. Place the wrap seam-side down; press until golden and crisp (about 2 minutes per side).

  5. Serve: Slice diagonally and enjoy warm — crispy outside, creamy-spicy inside.

🌟 Chef’s Notes

The honey adds a subtle caramelization when seared, contrasting beautifully with the heat from the peppers and the tang from the mustard. The cheese melts just enough to bind the filling while the Ezekiel wrap crisps to perfection.

This dish embodies strength, gratitude, and simplicity — an everyday reminder that healthy food can also be vibrant, soulful, and deeply satisfying.
