How to Change the Battery on Your SentriLock Box

Changing the battery on your SentriLock lockbox is a simple and essential task to ensure smooth operation. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you replace the battery and keep your lockbox functioning properly.

Step 1: Engage the Backup Battery

Press 'ENT' on the lockbox. If nothing happens, don’t worry—there’s a simple fix!
Locate the center button: Take a pen or small object and find the button beneath the SentriLock logo, just above the keypad. This button is in the middle of a set of three buttons.
Engage the backup battery: Once you press the button, the LEDs next to it will flicker, indicating that the backup battery has been successfully engaged.

Step 2: Release The Shackle

Open your SentriKey app and use it to connect to the lockbox.
Release and remove the shackle so you can access the internal components.

Step 3: Change The Battery

Remove the rubber plug: On the top of the lockbox, you'll see a rubber plug. Remove it to gain access to the screws.
Unscrew the top: Using a T-15 TORX screwdriver, unscrew the top cap. This will expose the old battery.
Replace the battery: Unplug the old battery and replace it with a new one. Make sure to connect the new battery properly.

Step 4: Reassemble The Lockbox

Reattach the top cap: After replacing the battery, firmly press the top cap back into place to minimize the gap between the cap and the lockbox.
Secure the screw: Insert the screw back into the hole and tighten it with the T-15 TORX screwdriver by rotating it to the right.
Replace the rubber cap: Push the rubber cap back into place to cover the screw and keep everything sealed.
Reinstall the shackle: Finally, put the shackle back into position, and your lockbox is good to go!
