To transfer your real estate license to a different brokerage in the USA follow these steps: Log in to the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission (OREC) licensee portal. Look for the "transfer brokerage" option in the portal menu area. Submit a transfer request through the OREC portal. Provide the following information: Your current brokerage details; the new brokerage's information is REAL BROKER LLC. The new brokerage's license number- is #200319. Pay the $40 transfer fee online. Once submitted, the system will automatically email your current and new broker. Both brokers must log in to the OREC portal and approve the transfer request. Please notify the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® (OKCMAR) about your brokerage change. You can reach them at membership@okcmar.org or call 405-840-1493. OKCMAR will provide documents to fill out and sign regarding your transfer. Complete a Listing Transfer Addendum form for each listing you want to transfer to your new brokerage. It's essential to update your MLS information when you move to a new brokerage. You can do this by emailing them about your move, and they will send you the necessary documents to e-sign online. This ensures the accuracy of your listings and maintains your professional reputation. Open communication with current and new brokers is critical to a successful transition. If you encounter any issues with the OREC portal or have questions about the transfer process, please get in touch with OREC directly at help@orec.ok.gov or (405) 521-3387. When a real estate agent decides to transfer their license from one company to another, it's common for the current broker to reach out to offer more incentives to stay or to understand the reasons behind the move. Agents must be prepared with clear talking points to handle this situation effectively. For example, YOU can highlight the new company's benefits, such as advanced technology tools, a robust training program that includes 750 classes annually via Zoom, and competitive commission structures. Additionally, Real Broker LLC offers opportunities for revenue sharing, stock options, and a supportive community of agents, which can be compelling reasons for making the switch. Being ready to discuss these advantages can help the agent confidently explain their decision to transition to a new company. We want to ensure you have a smooth transition. If you have any questions or need assistance, please call Abby Mathew at 405-203-8558.
